Andrea Rocca is an Italian artist and designer, born and raised in Milan, the city where he began his professional and artistic career. After his graduating in graphic advertising at the IED European Design Institute in Milan, he directs his studies towards an advertising career, working free lance as an illustrator, designer and advertiser. The different and numerous personal and professional experiences in Italy and abroad have contributed to the evolution of a new eclectic and creative artistic identity. Towards the end of the 90s the previous experiences turn out in a mature style, confirming the choice of painting as his first mean of expression.

Wood, canvas and commonly used objects are the best supports for portraits, historic brands and still lifes, mexed media artworks which Andrea creates with an extremely personal pop flair ranging from figurative painting to installations, from American graphics to abstract. The subjects of his works consolidate the artist's link to the world of entertainment, fashion, advertising, comics, cinema and music. The star system is reinterpreted through an original and powerful use of colour. The incisiveness of the strokes and the audacity of the chromatic choice make the strength of the warm colors the true protagonist of the image.
